Freelancing gives you the independence to work when you want, with who you want, and, to a certain degree of agreement, on your own terms. Freelance web design can be a perfect way to make some extra income, whether it is just part time on the side of another job, or if you are a stay at home parent or student, or if you have the commitment and willpower, it could also work out as a full time job. You could also try your hand at Internet Marketing using Internet Marketing Surrey

To become a successful freelance web designer, you need to have a high amount of self discipline, and really good self motivation. Not everyone boasts these qualities however, and so freelancing and self-employment is not suited to everyone. Being able to manage your own time and staying on top of tasks you have to do is key – if you can’t manage these, then this probably isn’t the career path for you.

It’s important to build up a client base when you first set out. Even if this means that for the first few projects, you have to do some web designing for free, or for very low pay, it will be worth it in the long run. Those first few projects can act as a portfolio which will attract more clients to you later on, enabling you to earn more money.
